Reebok Unveils Collaborative Street Fighter Collection
Reebok is no stranger to acknowledging the influential nature of pop culture. Their latest collaborative collection with DC Comics is indicative of that sentiment alone. After months of seldom releases overseas, the Boston-based brand is further cementing its hold over infusing their archives with the iconic characters that filled our childhood, officially announcing the Reebok x Street Fighter collection in conjunction with the revolutionary franchises 35th anniversary.
Tapping nine total silhouettes from the brand’s roster of diverse intentional tooling, the introductory pairs set forth the ideal technology for training and preparation as both the Classic Slide and Nano X2 pay homage to the game’s training screen and synonymous graphics. The second stage of the collection is divided into sneakers constructed for varying fields of play, whether its the Furylite 95 that brings Akuma to life with the aesthetic of his distressed gi, the Zangief-inspired Instapump Fury 95, Dhalism’s rope lace belt centered on the Zig Kinetica 2.5 or the Champion Edition of the Reebok Shaq Attaq.
The final stage of the collection expands upon the brand’s lifestyle offerings with Ryu’s gloves adorning the Club C 85 whereas Chun Li’s iconic dragon sash anchors the Classic Leather. Alongside a full range of apparel pieces, Cammy’s fierce fighting style and beret conclude the collection atop the LX2200.
Set to debut next Thursday, December 15th at Reebok.com, enjoy official campaign imagery of the Reebok x Street Fighter collection here in the meantime.
